On a December evening in Morrow, Georgia, a tragic sequence of events unfolded that ended the life of 28-year-old Antramico Williams. It began as brothers Johnathan Johnson and John Johnson III were walking along Mount Zion Road. A vehicle driven by Williams struck John Johnson III, leaving him in critical condition.
Following the accident, Williams got out of his car. An argument erupted between him and Johnathan Johnson, who was enraged that his brother had been hit. Witnesses reported that Johnson was screaming at Williams before he pulled out a handgun and shot Williams multiple times at close range. Investigators later found 13 shell casings at the scene. Williams was pronounced dead at the location, lying near the critically injured John Johnson III.
In the immediate aftermath, Johnathan Johnson fled the scene, leaving both his injured brother and Williams' body in the road. Morrow police quickly identified him as the suspect. A few days later, with the assistance of the Cobb County Police Department's SWAT unit, he was apprehended at a residence in Marietta. Johnson was arrested and subsequently charged with murder and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Clayton County Jail. Tragically, for the Williams family, this was the second son they had lost to gun violence.
