Rodricous Gates, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on August 6, 2017, outside the Hampton Downs apartments in Morrow, Georgia. Gates, who was a former high school football quarterback at Mundy's Mill High School in Jonesboro, Georgia, was visiting a friend at the apartment complex when he got into an argument with a man. The altercation escalated, and Gates was shot. Despite his efforts to flee, he collapsed and died at the scene.
