Victoria Olson, a 66-year-old female from Thornton, Illinois, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walmart in Lansing, Illinois, on March 8, 2025. Lansing police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Olson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate care, but she was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The Lake County Coroner’s Office ruled her death a homicide.
