Tayveona Edwards, a 20-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on July 26, 2020, in Lansing, Illinois. The incident occurred near 184th Street and Violet Avenue, where she was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to a call of gunfire at approximately 9:20 a.m. and discovered both Edwards and a 24-year-old man at the scene.
