Marvin Gibson-Jones, a 21-year-old man from Calumet City, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death. The sale took place in a parking lot at 2500 Bernice Rd., where Gibson-Jones allegedly met York and another man. During the encounter, Gibson-Jones fired multiple shots, striking York in the head.
