Gregory Jouben, aged 36, tragically lost his life on October 17, 1991, in Little Falls, Herkimer County, New York. Jouben was the victim of a brutal murder that shocked the small community. He was killed in his coin and jewelry store by Gary Charles Evans, a notorious serial killer and thief. Evans entered Jouben's store under the pretense of having an item appraised, but he then shot Jouben to death.
