Yolanda Renee Epps, a 45-year-old African American woman, was fatally shot in Augusta, Georgia, on March 1, 2025. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at Cedarwood Apartments, located on Richmond Hill Road West. Richmond County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 3 a.m. and discovered Epps suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body. She was immediately transported to Wellstar MCG Health, where she was pronounced dead at 6:44 a.m.
