On May 21, 2024, LaShonda "Shonda" Wilkerson, a 45-year-old resident of Hephzibah, Georgia, lost her life to gun violence in Augusta, Georgia.
The incident occurred around 1:32 p.m. near the intersection of Druid Park Avenue and Walton Way. Wilkerson was shot and collapsed in the middle of the street.
