In the late summer of 2014, a whirlwind romance in Augusta, Georgia, came to a tragic and violent end, leaving a community in shock and a family to grapple with an unthinkable loss. On September 9, 2014, Treasey L. Wingo, a 47-year-old Black female, was found deceased in her home at the Estates at Perimeter apartment complex. She had been married to her husband, 46-year-old Andre Wingo, for approximately two weeks.
