On March 15, 2023, Commen Gunn, a 48-year-old resident of Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot in her home located in the 200 block of Brandywine Place. The incident occurred in the upstairs bedroom of her townhome, where her husband, Shawn Gunn, age 52, fired the fatal shot in front of their 10-year-old daughter, Bentlee.
