In the autumn of 2023, a violent confrontation tragically ended the life of 33-year-old Precious D’Antignac in Augusta, Georgia. On the afternoon of October 3rd, authorities were called to her home on Maxwell Street where they discovered her body. She had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene around 12:50 p.m.
Witnesses described a harrowing scene that began with the arrival of two women in a black SUV.
These women were later identified as 55-year-old Mary Lucille Moore and 52-year-old Trinaca Aday Moore. An argument escalated into a physical fight, during which one of the suspects allegedly attempted to strike D’Antignac with a gun. As D’Antignac tried to retreat into her house, she was shot. Reports from the scene indicated that D'Antignac had attempted to use another woman as a human shield, but this person was able to get away. Witnesses recounted that even after D’Antignac had fallen to the ground, Mary Moore allegedly continued to pull the trigger of the empty weapon, which clicked several times.
The investigation led to the arrest of Mary Lucille Moore on October 8, 2023. She faced charges of murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. It was revealed that Moore had a prior conviction for second-degree murder in Florida dating back to 2000. A second suspect, Trinaca Aday Moore, was charged with murder on October 19, 2023. Trinaca Moore also had a criminal history, which included convictions for cocaine possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm. While they share the same last name, it is unclear if the two women are related.
