In the early evening of March 19, 2025, the life of 39-year-old Diamon Clay, a male known in the music world as Lotto Savage, was brought to an abrupt and violent end. Emergency services were dispatched to an apartment complex on Glen Hollow Circle in DeKalb County, Georgia, around 5:24 p.m. following reports of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Clay, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound.
Some witnesses later recounted hearing several gunshots before observing a suspect escaping the area in a dark-colored vehicle. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Clay was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting quickly gained momentum as DeKalb County detectives worked to identify who was responsible for the homicide. Within a day, investigators had identified a vehicle they believed was used by the perpetrator. They tracked this vehicle to a residence in the city of Morrow. In a coordinated effort with the Morrow Police Department, a search warrant was executed at the home.
Inside the residence, law enforcement found more than they might have anticipated. The search uncovered firearms, narcotics, and what was described as a substantial amount of cash. There were five individuals present in the home at the time of the police search. After conducting interviews with all five people, the authorities took one person into custody. This unnamed individual was subsequently arrested and booked into the DeKalb County Jail, facing a charge of malice murder in connection with the death of Diamon Clay. The motive behind the fatal shooting remains unclear to investigators, who have not yet released the suspect's name to the public.
