William "Billy" Washington Scott, a 97-year-old white male from Decatur, GA, passed away on May 4, 2021. His death was initially reported as a natural occurrence, but further investigation revealed that he had been the victim of a fatal shooting. The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Mr. Scott died as a result of gunshot wounds. His body was discovered in his home on Wintergreen Lane by a friend who went to check on him after he failed to respond to calls.
