On a Friday morning in Decatur, Georgia, a routine coffee run turned into a fatal encounter for 41-year-old Brian Dykes. On February 17, 2023, Dykes was inside a Dunkin' Donuts when 17-year-old Lamarion Orr spotted a handgun in his waistband. In a sudden move, Orr snatched the firearm from Dykes and fled the store.

Dykes pursued Orr into the parking lot, where a struggle for the weapon ensued. During the altercation, Orr shot Dykes, who succumbed to the gunshot wound at the scene. The inc ...
