In the early morning hours of Friday, August 14, 2026, the quiet of a Decatur, Georgia neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Police responded to a home on Pepperdine Drive around 5 a.m. to find 65-year-old Jerome Wyatt deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The grim discovery of the male victim set in motion an investigation that would quickly point to a suspect within his own family.
