On the night of March 22, 2025, 22-year-old African American male Zymerious Daunte' Cofield was fatally shot in LaGrange, Georgia. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. in the 900 block of Mason Street. Upon arrival, LaGrange police officers discovered Zymerious Cofield with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by both police and first responders, he was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
