On Saturday, March 4, 2023, 16-year-old Nasir Truitt was shot and killed at the Southbend Skate Park in LaGrange, Georgia. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when an argument between two groups of people escalated into a shooting. Nasir, who was described by his family as a kind, respectful, and humble individual, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
