In the late hours of a Monday night in Macon, Georgia, the tranquility of Freedom Park was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 39-year-old Jarvis Kentral Curtis. On May 13, 2025, just after 11:30 p.m., deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the park in the 3300 block of Roff Avenue following a report of a person down by the lake.
