In the early morning hours of February 25, 2025, a physical altercation in a west Phoenix neighborhood escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 31-year-old Trevon Brown, an African American male. Phoenix police officers were initially dispatched to the area near 22nd Avenue and Medlock Drive, just north of Camelback Road, following reports of a fight. While en route, the situation intensified as the caller reported hearing at least one gunshot.
