On June 5, 2018, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a "shots fired" call at an apartment complex located at 2028 W. Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Disean Russell, age 30, lying in an apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics, Disean was pronounced deceased at the scene.
