Robert Lee Kozul Sr., an 89-year-old White/Caucasian man, was a longtime Fairmont, West Virginia, resident and Army veteran whose death at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg eventually became part of a federal serial-murder investigation. Although information supplied about the case gives a death date of January 28, 2018, contemporary obituary records and later reporting on the criminal investigation state that Kozul died on January 30, 2018.
