Frederick Donald Swiger Jr., a 47-year-old White/Caucasian man, was killed in the early morning hours of July 26, 2013, while doing something that had been part of his life for decades: delivering newspapers through Clarksburg, West Virginia, with his father, Frederick Donald Swiger Sr. The father and son worked as independent carriers for The Exponent Telegram and had traveled their route together for roughly 30 years.
