In a series of events that would remain unresolved for decades, Frank Welzbacher, a 36-year-old man from Sylvania, Ohio, tragically lost his life in 1972. His death was part of a violent crime spree that also claimed the lives of two other men, 68-year-old Earl Ludlow of Temperance, Michigan, and 23-year-old Joseph Satcher of Toledo, Ohio. The three men were victims of abduction and murder in Monroe County, Michigan.
