On June 1, 2022, Daniel 'Hutch' Hutchinson, a 47-year-old male jeweler from Oak Park, Michigan, was fatally shot in a targeted attack. The incident occurred while he was seated in his GMC Denali outside a pawn shop he owned on Greenfield Road. His wife was in the vehicle with him at the time but was not physically harmed. Hutchinson was a well-known figure in the community, recognized for providing custom jewelry to a celebrity clientele that included rappers.
