Mendel King, a 47-year-old man from Phenix City, Alabama, was tragically shot and killed on September 11, 2022. The incident occurred late in the evening when King was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a residential area of the city. First responders arrived at the scene, but despite attempts to save him, King was declared dead shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital.
