In a tragic and disturbing case from Detroit, Michigan, 3-year-old Brian Harrington, a white male, was killed on October 15, 1999. The person responsible for his death was his own father, Paul Harrington, a former Detroit police officer and a Vietnam War veteran with a history of severe psychological problems. The young boy's life was cut short in a crime that echoed a previous tragedy involving his father.
