In the summer of 2015, a tragic incident cut short the life of a young boy named Elijah Walker. The 3-year-old male was fatally shot on Monday, August 3, 2015, on the east side of Detroit. The event unfolded in the backyard of a home on Eastwood Avenue, near Kelly Road, where a day of play turned into a scene of loss.
