In the summer warmth of a July morning in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 36-year-old Ja'Ron Rayshawn Starling was tragically cut short. On July 22, 2024, gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a laundromat at the intersection of 4th and Oak streets in the Old Louisville neighborhood. The chaotic scene left Starling, a father of five, fatally wounded. Two women, one of whom was his girlfriend, were also injured in the shooting but survived.
