Police Officer Frank E. Walls, aged 39, tragically lost his life on October 17, 1988, in Detroit, Michigan. Officer Walls was a dedicated member of the Detroit Police Department, having served for 13 years. On the day of his death, he was leading a special operations team into the apartment of a mentally disturbed man who had just fatally shot Lieutenant James Schmit.
