On October 8, 1974, Linda Ann McClendon, a 19-year-old African American woman, was tragically murdered in Fort Worth, Texas. She was among five victims killed during a brutal attack at the Riverside Village apartment complex. The other victims included her cousins, Laura Louise McClendon, 22, and Martha McClendon, 24, as well as two children: Laura’s son, Steven, and Martha’s daughter, Natasha, both aged two.
