On February 8, 1975, 24-year-old African American woman Betty Williams was brutally murdered in Fort Worth, Texas, by 26-year-old Kenneth Granviel, a convicted serial killer. Granviel lured Betty Williams to his apartment under the pretense of giving her a package of cigarettes. Once inside, he attacked her, turning her upside down to disorient her, then proceeded to rape and stab her multiple times.
