Beatrice Louise Routh, a 10-year-old homeless girl, tragically lost her life on August 1, 1991, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered by Donald Leroy Evans, a convicted serial killer. Evans, who had a history of violent crimes, targeted Beatrice while she was in a park. After the assault, he strangled her to death and disposed of her body in a rural area. The medical examiner later testified that Beatrice endured significant suffering during her ordeal.
