In the winter of 2019, the quiet of the Woodland Village apartment complex in Columbia, South Carolina, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 27-year-old Duwan E. Williams and two others. On the morning of December 17th, what began as an ordinary day ended in a triple homicide that would deeply affect the community. Duwan, along with his roommates Branton T. Booker, 28, and Sheldon D. Livingston, 26, were fatally shot inside their apartment on Butternut Lane.
