On a tragic evening in Phoenix, Arizona, Nathaniel Schoffner, a 44-year-old man, lost his life in a senseless act of violence. The incident occurred on November 11, 2005, when he was fatally shot. His death was not a random act but the work of a pair of serial shooters who had been terrorizing the city.
The individuals responsible for Mr. Schoffner's death were identified as Dale Hausner and Samuel Dieteman. On the night of the shooting, Mr.
Schoffner was reportedly attempting to shield a dog from being shot by the two men when he himself was targeted and killed. This act of compassion ultimately cost him his life, marking another grim chapter in the duo's deadly spree.
