In the late evening hours of August 3, 2025, the life of 44-year-old Johnathan Joel Rosenlund was tragically cut short in a south Phoenix neighborhood. Phoenix Police officers responded to a call about a shooting near 24th Avenue and Broadway Road around 9:43 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Rosenlund with a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency medical services from the Phoenix Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, but he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
