The circumstances surrounding Sean Michael Lamb's death were deeply troubling. On May 13, 2014, Odessa Police responded to a "shots fired" call in the alley behind #30 Neta Place in Odessa. Upon arrival, they discovered Sean's body with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. The investigation revealed that Sean had been abducted and murdered because he was suspected of stealing a large amount of "crystal" methamphetamine from Liz Hernandez and her brother, Ruben James Hernandez. The murder was a result of a drug distribution scheme involving firearms.
Several individuals were arrested and charged in connection with Sean Michael Lamb's murder. On April 10, 2015, jurors convicted Raymond Hernandez Olgin, Jr., Rudolfo Romero Parades, Stacey Louise Castillo, and Anthony Ryan Gonzales of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and murder during the course of a drug trafficking crime. Liz Sanchez Hernandez and her son, Brian Adan Hernandez, also pleaded guilty to related federal charges. Liz Hernandez was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, while Brian Adan Hernandez received a 41-month sentence. The defendants were ordered to jointly and severally pay $5,861 in restitution.
The trial revealed that 35-year-old Noe Garcia Galan, accompanied by Olgin and Paredes, shot and killed Sean Michael Lamb for stealing the methamphetamine.
