On June 14, 2024, 65-year-old James Francis "Jimmy" Johnson, a resident of Odessa, Texas, was tragically killed in a shooting incident at his home on Newcomb Drive. Johnson, who had lived with cerebral palsy and was wheelchair-bound, was reportedly involved in a dispute over living arrangements with two individuals who had been staying at his residence for a couple of days.
