Jody Goode, a 43-year-old man from Odessa, Texas, tragically died on August 24, 2022, from multiple gunshot wounds. According to the Odessa Police Department, Goode was involved in a physical altercation with a known associate just before the shooting. A witness to the fight reported that they shot Goode multiple times in defense of the other person involved in the altercation. The investigation into Goode's death is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
