In the early morning hours of New Year's Day, a violent encounter in Ector County, Texas, resulted in the death of 25-year-old Quincy Devion Price and serious injuries to a 21-year-old woman. The incident, which marked the county's first homicide of 2026, occurred around 3:20 a.m. on January 1st in the 1100 block of West 57th Street in Odessa.
