On February 26, 2024, at approximately 6:41 p.m., the Ector County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) responded to a call regarding an unresponsive individual in the 200 block of South Tripp Avenue in Odessa, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 27-year-old D’Marion DaJohn Jackson deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The ECSO Criminal Investigation Department, in collaboration with the Texas Rangers, initiated a homicide investigation.
