Julian Matilde Anguiano, a 22-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on October 2, 2014, in Belton, TX. He was found in a car at the parking lot of the Wildwood Apartments in Temple, TX, with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation into Julian's death led to the arrest of Manuel Antonio Leija, Jr., who was just 17 years old at the time of the crime.
Leija, along with another accomplice, Tamron Monche Shores, was charged with the murder. Leija was sentenced to 38 years in prison for his role in the shooting, while Shores received an 8-year sentence for her involvement.
