Isaac B. Grubbs, a 33-year-old male deputy sheriff with the Bell County Sheriff's Office in Texas, tragically lost his life on August 6, 1903. Deputy Grubbs was shot and killed while attempting to serve an eviction notice. As he and another deputy approached the house, they were confronted by a female suspect who declared she would not be moved and threatened to kill the officers. In the ensuing confrontation, several shots were fired, and Deputy Grubbs was struck, leading to his death.
