Maliyah Palmer, a six-year-old girl from Florissant, Missouri, tragically died on December 14, 2018, due to an accidental shooting. The incident occurred when Maliyah's 12-year-old brother found a 9mm pistol in a dresser drawer in their parents' bedroom and accidentally discharged the weapon, striking Maliyah in the head. At the time of the incident, Maliyah and her brother were being supervised by their 16-year-old sister while their parents were attending a Christmas party.
