In the winter of 2016, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in a violent encounter. Joni Meadows, a female resident of Spanish Lake, Missouri, was fatally shot on February 18th of that year in a tragic event that unfolded near Florissant. The incident was reportedly connected to a drug transaction that turned deadly.
