Lewis Lane, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in South Austin on April 24, 2015. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. in the 7300 block of Gaines Mill Lane, near Manchaca Road and William Cannon Drive. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and transported Lewis to University Medical Center Brackenridge, where he succumbed to his gunshot wounds at 5:09 a.m. The police investigation revealed that Lewis was found in a part of town he would not normally vis ...
