In the early morning hours of July 16, 2012, a violent incident unfolded in the residential streets of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a young man. Cesar Guzman, a 22-year-old White male, was the victim of a shooting that occurred under the cover of darkness. Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers were
redirected by witnesses to a nearby property at 1817 Hardesty Avenue. There, they discovered Guzman lying in the grass on the south side of the residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a local hospital for urgent treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
