Matthew Jacob Rodriguez Jr., a 27-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from San Marcos, Texas, tragically died on August 14, 2018. Rodriguez was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive around 2 a.m., with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Hays County Justice of the Peace Maggie Moreno. His body was later taken to the Travis County medical examiner for an autopsy.
