Dan Henry Hunter III, a 28-year-old male from Houston, Texas, tragically passed away on August 4, 2019. He was standing outside a nightclub located at 3000 Blodgett Street when he was shot by an unknown suspect who then fled the scene. Paramedics transported Hunter to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division launched an investigation into Hunter's death.
Surveillance video footage captured a person of interest at the scene, but the suspect remained unidentified for some time. On May 17, 2021, the HPD announced that charges had been filed against Demontrion Terreil Albert, a 34-year-old male, for the murder of Dan Henry Hunter III. Albert was identified as the suspect through further investigation and surveillance footage. He was charged with murder in the 248th State District Court. Albert remains at large, and the HPD continues to seek information on his whereabouts.
