Oscar Ballinas, a 55-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed in his home in southwest Houston, Texas, on April 17, 2015. His wife, Eva Ballinas, aged 50, was also found dead at the scene. The couple was discovered by police early in the morning, and their son, Kenneth Ballinas, aged 26, was arrested shortly after at the scene. Kenneth confessed to shooting his parents while they were in bed, but he did not provide a clear motive for the crime.
