Isaac Bunton, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 31, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. Isaac, along with his mother Victoria Bunton and younger brother Quon Bunton, was fatally shot by his stepfather, James Manning. The incident occurred in their East Dallas apartment, where the family lived with Manning.

According to police reports, Manning claimed he had a headache and became irritated because Victoria and the boys were being "too loud". He then pulled out a handgun and shot all three family members before calling 911 an hour later to confess to the crime. Manning was arrested and charged with capital murder, and he is being held on a $3 million bond.

The tragic event shocked the community, as there were no prior signs of domestic abuse in the family. Victoria was a home health worker who loved to cook and provide for her family, while Isaac was remembered as a loving and caring young man who would have turned 17 just days after his death. A memorial service was held for Isaac on September 10, 2020, at The Life Church in Dallas.

The case against James Manning is ongoing, and the family members are seeking justice for Isaac and his mother. The community continues to mourn the loss of the Bunton family and support the efforts to hold Manning accountable for his actions.
